Tom Snow is widely recognized for his incomparable excellence as a pianist, bandleader, arranger, and music educator. A graduate of the New England Conservatory of Music (M.M. 2005) and the Berklee College of Music (B.M. 1991), Tom has studied with many fine pianists including Danilo Perez, Michael Cain, Jerry Bergonzi, Frank Glazer, and Chris Neville.
Tom’s involvement in music as a pianist and bandleader defies genre or category. He has played with a long list of musical luminaries including Harry Allen, Jeff Coffin, Dave Holland, Ken Peplowski, Greg Abate, Larry Coryell, Nick Brignola, Phil Wilson, Gray Sargent, John Lockwood, Marshall Wood, Dick Johnson, and Herb Pomeroy. Throughout the years, Tom has had long standing posts as pianist for the John Allmark Jazz Orchestra, Ireland’s John MacNally, famed singer/songwriter Gene McDaniels, folk icon Jonathan Edwards, and jazz legend Les DeMerle. In addition to recording, arranging, or co-producing dozens of albums & CDs, he also has five CDs as a leader: Northern Standard Time (1997), Christmas at Mast Cove (2001), Some Other Time (2007), Friends (2013) featuring folk superstar Jonathan Edwards, and Duke’s Diamonds: an Ellington Celebration (2015).
Tom has been active as a music educator for over thirty years. This commitment to education includes his own undergraduate and graduate work plus many posts in both the public and private sector including four years as Music Director at the Jesuit college preparatory school Cheverus (Portland, ME), two years at the prestigious Phillips Exeter Academy (Exeter, NH), and thirteen years as Director of Jazz Studies at Bates College (Lewiston, ME).
Tom’s performing career has included international tours spanning three continents. In earlier years, Tom was very active with long-term engagements including work at the Ritz Carlton Resort on Amelia Island, Florida, The Balsams Grand Resort (NH), Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, and the Mount Washington Grand Resort (NH). More currently, for nine years, Tom toured as pianist and Music Director for folk legend, Jonathan Edwards.
Tom’s orchestral arrangements have been performed by orchestras throughout the United States including the Portland Symphony Orchestra, the Kingfield Pops, the Phoenix Symphony, and the Winston-Salem Symphony.
Tom is based on the coast of Southern Maine in Yarmouth where he has a home with wife Michelle, their sons Finn & Eli, and Gracie the family dog.

He has been a member of the famed big band John Allmark Jazz Orchestra, accompanied Ireland’s favorite son John MacNally, composed with legendary singer/songwriter Gene McDaniels, toured extensively with folk icon Jonathan Edwards, and performed alongside multi-Grammy winning saxophonist Jeff Coffin.
As a recording artist, Tom has five CDs as a leader and has worked as a session player on dozens of others. His work as a music educator spans over thirty years and includes work in public and private schools, colleges and universities. Tom is based in the coastal community of Yarmouth, Maine where he lives with his wife Michelle, their sons Finn & Eli, and Gracie the family dog.
